Most questions have a quick answer below. Need us directly? Jump to the contact form, or email support@figrski.com.

Your account

I forgot my password

Tap Forgot password? on the sign-in screen and enter the email you signed up with — if that address has a GrowKeep account, a reset link arrives within a few minutes. Check your spam folder if you don't see it.

If you're still signed in on any device, you can also change it directly: Settings → Account → Change password.

How do I change my password?

In the app, go to Settings → Account → Change password.

How do I delete my account?

Go to Settings → Account → Delete account and confirm with your password. This permanently deletes your account along with all of your plants, gardens, care logs, reminders and photos. It cannot be undone, so consider exporting your data first.

Deleting your account does not cancel an active subscription — subscriptions are billed by Apple and have to be cancelled separately (see below).

How do I get a copy of my data?

Go to Settings → Data & Privacy → Download my data. GrowKeep exports everything on your account as a JSON file you can save or share. This is free on every plan.

Subscriptions and billing

How do I cancel or change my subscription?

GrowKeep Premium is billed through your Apple ID, so it's managed in iOS rather than in the app: open the Settings app → tap your name → SubscriptionsGrowKeep. You can also go straight there at apps.apple.com/account/subscriptions.

Cancelling stops the next renewal. You keep Premium until the end of the period you've already paid for.

I subscribed but the app still shows me as free

Open the Premium screen and tap Restore purchases. Make sure you're signed in to the same Apple ID that made the purchase, and to the same GrowKeep account. If it still doesn't unlock, email us — include the Apple receipt and we'll sort it out.

I want a refund

Refunds for App Store purchases are handled by Apple, not by us. Request one at reportaproblem.apple.com. If something in GrowKeep went wrong, tell us too — we'd like the chance to fix it.

What's included in the free plan?

Up to 5 plants, 1 garden, 5 AI questions per month and 5 active reminders. Premium removes those limits and adds garden-level AI, planting advice, past gardens and seasons, live frost warnings, and photos on AI questions.

Reminders and notifications

My reminders aren't arriving

Check these in order:

If notifications are allowed and a reminder is still overdue with nothing delivered, email us with the plant name and the reminder's schedule.

Can I mark care as done early?

Yes. Tap Done on any active reminder — GrowKeep logs the care and reschedules from that moment.

Location, frost and growing zones

Why does GrowKeep ask for my location?

Your location is used to work out your growing zone, your average first and last frost dates, and — for Premium — overnight frost warnings for tender plants. It's optional: you can decline the permission and type a location instead, or leave it blank and use the rest of the app normally.

My growing zone or frost dates look wrong

Go to Settings → Location and refresh your location. Zones and frost dates are derived from local temperature history, so they're an estimate for your area rather than a measurement at your address. If it's badly off, email us the location you entered and what you expected.

How do I turn frost warnings off?

There isn't a separate switch for frost alerts yet. The only control is Settings → Notifications → Push notifications, which turns off every GrowKeep notification — including your care reminders.

If you'd want frost alerts controlled separately from reminders, tell us. That's exactly the kind of request that decides what gets built next.

Using the app

Does GrowKeep work offline?

Yes. You can add plants, log care, edit and attach photos with no connection — everything is saved on the device and syncs automatically when you're back online. A small badge marks anything still waiting to sync.

How do seasons work?

Each garden tracks one active season at a time, named however fits your climate — "Summer 2026", "Wet season", anything. When it ends, start a new one and either start fresh (everything is archived with the closing season) or carry over the plants you pick. Care logs stay attached to the season they happened in, so your history reads the way the garden actually grew.

How do I add beds to my garden?

Beds are labelled sections within a garden — "Tier 1", "North bed", whatever matches how yours is laid out. Add them when you create a garden, or any time after: open the garden, tap the menu and choose Edit garden. Each garden holds up to 12.

When you add or edit a plant in that garden, you can pick which bed it lives in — useful for telling two tomatoes apart, and it gives the AI a more precise picture of what grows where.

What happens to my plants when a season ends?

Nothing is deleted. Plants you archive with the closing season keep their full history — their profiles open read-only, marked with the season they belong to — and their reminders stop on their own, so you won't be told to water a bed that's done for the year. Plants you carry over continue into the new season with everything intact.

Your care logs always stay attached to the season they happened in, and the AI can still read past seasons' history when you ask about this year's planting — that's how "how did this do last year?" gets a real answer.

How does the AI know about my plants?

When you ask a question, GrowKeep sends that plant's or garden's profile and care history — including your growing zone and frost dates, and photos from your care logs where they help — so the answer is about your plant rather than the species in general. Follow-up questions remember the conversation, and for gardens with history the AI can compare against past seasons too. It's advice, not a diagnosis: for anything valuable or unusual, check with a local expert.

The AI can read your records but cannot change them. It never adds plants, logs or reminders on your behalf.
